Meet Katie (Vasiliki Dowell)

Hi, my name is Vasiliki Dowell, but I go by Katie.

I have worked in the medical field for over nine years and have developed a deep passion for every aspect of the birthing journey. My experience includes mother–baby care in the hospital setting, assisting midwives during home births, and serving as a doula supporting mothers and families throughout labor and delivery.

I love Jesus, and I intentionally invite the Holy Spirit into every birth. I trust Him to lead and move as He desires, and my heart is to partner with what God is doing in each mother’s story.

I believe birth is not only a physical process, but also an emotional and spiritual one. Labor often brings deep emotions to the surface, and I support mothers as they navigate fear, healing, and refinement — finding peace and strength in the Lord.

My desire is to support mothers in preparing holistically — body, soul, and spirit — so that birth becomes not only a moment of delivery, but a healing and beautiful experience of bringing forth what God has for both mother and child.

Covenant Community is rooted in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. We openly acknowledge the presence of God in birth and welcome the work of the Holy Spirit throughout the labor and birthing process.

You do not need to share our beliefs to receive care here. You are welcomed with respect, compassion, and gentleness.

At the same time, we believe in being honest about who we are. We trust the Lord to bring the families He desires, and we offer our care with humility, integrity, and love.
